Which alien-ware laptop should I get?

Hey, I need to decide between the Alienware m15x and the m17x. Surprisingly the price range between the two laptops isn't that wide so thats not an issue but the m17x has a much better gpu but I'm afraid its to much of a behemoth (ill be using my laptop in school ), the m15x isn't that bad but its just not as powerful.
