Whats the difference between black metal and death metal?

Black Metal bands usually wear make up on stage, such as white paint within black designs. Black Metal is usually a little slower than Death Metal. Black Metal is usually more centered around Satanic references and such. Black Metal fans are usually much cooler, haha.
