Conservatives and liberals: Why can't we all agree to mass secession?

We use to have a pride in this country once, even when blacks were looked at as a lower level, they were still proud, but now, because of lack of assimilation to Americans, we have now have cultural differences. We can have our cultures, just not in public, we have to be Americans and speak English, that I feel is the answer.
